We are looking for some 4th grade parents!! Please help! This allows the 5th grade parents to concentrate on their children who are moving up and celebrating! Next year someone will do the same for you 🙂 We need one person to be the lead – assign shopping, table duty, etc., and another few to help with setup, cleanup, manning the tables, etc., during the ceremony. We can answer any questions that you have – please consider signing up! Please see Sita Subbaram’s message below:
I am Neel Chittur’s mom, Sita. He is in 5th grade in Mrs Goldman’s class. We are in the process of helping to organize the 5th grade graduation. As its been in the past, we usually ask volunteers from 4th grade parents to help serve refreshments and hand out programs during graduation. In addition, we are need one 4th grade parent volunteer that can be the lead coordinator for the refreshments. Graduation this year is on June 22nd from 10-1130 am in the gym. We would need volunteers to set up tables at least half hour before the ceremony starts
We would need two food/beverage tables set up. And if 4th grade parents would like to set up a flower table to sell individual flowers or bouquets as a fundraiser for next year’s 5th grade class (field trip and end of year carnival or dance), that would be awesome. 5th grade does some great end of year events, but they do their own fundraising, as the PTA cannot support all of their events in their entirety, so it’s great to get a jump start! See the post about this year’s 5th grade trip to Ndakinna!
If you do decide to sell flowers it may be a better idea to do it as a pre-order form so you can estimate what to buy and how much extra (if any).
Please sign up to volunteer for this event through the New Scotland Parent Place page: http://newscotland.
Thank you for your help!!!
